On a personal quest to be the most natural haircolorist possible I search out every ammonia free & PPD free hair color offering and will continue to pursue each and every offering to secure what works best for my artistic creativity and the health of my clients/self. Some Manufacturers will have you believe that you are applying fruit smoothie to your clients head, I know better, as my clients have come too as well. All my efforts in sourcing/testing the most natural, less-toxic, hair color has culminated into an offering that compliments each others shortcomings and strengths, thus offering the "least toxic" comprehensive hair color mastery known to exist, in my opinion. Ammonia & PPD Defined
Ammonia Ammonia is a dangerous, corrosive chemical ever-present in hair colouring products has been linked to increase the risk of certain cancers. It is also linked to affect reproduction as well as other chronic health effects from long-term use. Our colours use an alternative method based on an alkaline extract from corn to replace Ammonia that still give an excellent, salon leading quality result without the adverse health effects.
PPD PPD is very common in hair dyes and is mostly responsible for allergic reactions and irritation as well as having adverse health effects. It may not only cause rashes and itching in allergy cases, but may also trigger asthma, eczema and may even damage kidneys and lungs from long-term exposure.
